Week 2, Day 7

Admittedly, this weekend was a bit of a whirlwind and even though it was just yesterday, I find myself struggling to recall the events of just a few hours ago.  I had been doing a really good job of logging my progress throughout the day and I need to get back to the logging.  I'm glad to say that with the exception of my weight loss goals, the weekend wasn't as much of a disaster as I was expecting.  I like to think it's because I was thinking ahead.  Well, here I go!

1) Lose 10 pounds - Not great not terrible.  I've been doing well for breakfast having FF yogurt with blueberries and strawberries.  From there, it seems to all go downhill.  Yesterday it was the Timbers game, so we went to Hot Lips Pizza for our pre-game slice.  My FIL kept feeding us M&Ms, yet at the end of the game I once again found myself hungry and ate the cheapest thing in the stadium - a kid's hot dog (which is really just a normal sized hotdog w/o a whole load of other crap on it).  For dinner my MIL came over and we ate too much Thai food.  I'm not exactly sure what the calorie/fat intake was for the meal, but none of our choices were breaded or stir fried so it may be naive, but I think my food wasn't toooooooo terrible.  I guess the scale will tell tomorrow as I begin Week 3. If I had really wanted to lose 10 pounds, I should be about 3.5 pounds down which would have put me at the 159.5 mark.... I think I'm not even close.

2) Diastasis class - I think I missed one, but I was really trying to focus on keeping my stomach in the whole day, so I hope it helped in lieu of doing the actual exercises.

3) Exercise - It may not have actually counted as exercise, but for the 2 hours of the Timbers game, I jumped up and down, did all the hand movements to the chants, yelled, screamed and carried on.  It may not have been aerobic exercise, but I'm pretty sure I burned calories :)

4) Get Ari in bed and asleep by 9pm - Ari skipped his nap yesterday, so bath was at 8pm and bed @8:30.  He yelled, screamed, and insisted he was up and not going to sleep... until I shut the door behind me and he was unconscious within 2 minutes.

5) Get Lilah to FINALLY sleep through the night - She was still up twice last night, but I remember back to 2 weeks ago, she was up 4-6 times per night.... so once again, I think we're going in the right direction.  Now we have another 3 weeks to get there!  I have to keep reminding myself this is a process.  She got up at 1:30 and 5:30 which isn't too terrible.  If I wasn't having such a hard time sleeping last night I would have gotten TWO 4 hour blocks of sleep.... alas, the world conspires against me.

6) Wean Lilah - My memory of yesterday's nursings are first thing in the morning, before nap, at the game, bedtime and twice during the night. I know I had decided only to once during the night, but I'm wondering if I'm taking the wrong approach?  If I nurse at 5:30am, she'll still go back to sleep for another hour or so which is preferable for me.  Also, she seems more willing to skip daytime nursing than nighttime.  When she starts making like she wants to nurse during the day, I've been handing her a sippy cup and she's been doing well with it.  Maybe I should start taking away the daytime nursing?
