Week 4, Day 1 - Officially 1/2 Way

Wow.... I can't believe I'm officially 1/2 way already.  The last few weeks have been pretty tough with a lot of ups and downs.  This past week was perhaps the hardest because I was sick and felt awful.  Overall I'm happy with my progress so far, but for sure the two areas which need the most improvement are my weight loss and exercise.  I'm not going to be too hard on myself this time because I really did feel crummy, but starting this week I have no excuses!!!

As you can see above, I really have made progress which makes me happy.  According to my 'plan' I should be 5 pounds down, but hey... I'm pretty happy with 3.2!  Ari has been in bed mostly around 9:10 this past week without getting out of bed once the lights are off!  However, I'm most proud of Lilah's continued improvement regarding sleeping through the night and weaning :)  She's vastly improved with her ability to put herself back to sleep and I've been shocked at how well she's taken to the sippy cup when I've refused to nurse.  In a nutshell...... Yay us :)

So now for my dailies:
1) Lose 10 pounds - I was down to 159.8 this morning.  I did really well with food all day, but my wonderful sister is in town so we went out for dinner this evening and stuffed ourselves silly.  I tried not to eat too much, but after having 3/4 glass of wine I just couldn't say 'no' to the home made saffron ice cream.  We'll see what the scale has to say tomorrow and if my good eating during the day saved me from my large dinner.

2) Diastasis - Today was my meeting with Kelly Dean of the Tummy Team (www.thetummyteam.com) and she turned my world upside down!!  First the scary stuff:  1) I have two NEW exercises to do 2) The one exercise I was doing getting good at before, I now have to do twice as many in a way which is twice as hard - AY CARAMBA!!!  Luckily, Kelly was adamant about me not stressing myself out about it.  Now the good stuff:  1) My waist has gone from 40 inches to 37 1/4!!!! IN THREE WEEKS!!!  and 2) My diastasis measurements earlier were 6 (h), 6 (m) and 6 (l) and now they are (drum roll please.....) 3 (h), 3(m) and 3.5 (l)!!!  This basically means that in three short weeks I've been able to cut my diastasis in half.  It's absolutely noticeable when I'm not wearing the splint and I'm VERY happy.  Today's session definitely gave me the boost I needed to keep going with this program and work towards getting my waist back.

3) Exercise - Still no exercise, seriously tomorrow - I swear....

4) Ari in bed by 9pm - Ari was in bed with lights off by 9:03, but I forgot to have him go potty before bed and at 9:15 he had to run to the bathroom.  C'est Lavie... maybe tomorrow.

5) Lilah sleep through the night - Little girl was up around midnight last night and actually put herself back to sleep.  I literally heard two little wimpers and then nothing.... ahhhh..... it was music to my ears.  She did end up waking twice last night, but at least it didn't require my attention to make her go back to sleep which was pretty awesome.  She got up at 1:30 and 4:30, then up for the day at 7am which was certainly better than yesterday's 5:30.

6) Wean Lilah - Lilah is being a rock star at this whole weaning thing.  I think we're getting really close to being able to go all day without nursing.  It is such an amazing feeling to know I can wear a real bra all day long.  It also feels really good finally knowing someone else can take care of Lilah because she doesn't need a boob to eat :)
