Week 5, Day 6

One again, Lilah had me up much of the night and I'm exhausted.  I now think it's a combination of ear infection and teething, but in life these things happen which challenge our purpose and we need to either give up or fight.  I'm doing my best to fight.

I feel as though most of this past week was pretty much a waste because of Lilah's ear infection, but hopefully this coming week will be better and I'll be able to finish up my 6 week challenge with improvement.

1) Weight - Steady at 160.6.  I can plainly see where I'm trying to muster energy with food.  I'll need to do better about that and start relying more on coffee :)

2)  Diastasis - Technically I only did the one full Transverse contraction set, but I started like 50 of them.  I spent the morning with Ari at the Washington County Fair and aside from a lot of walking (and carrying a 3 year old), we went on a lot of rides.  Kelly Dean says a lot of the program is simply becoming more cognisant of our posture and of utilizing our transverse muscles regularly, so that is what I'm trying to do.

3) Exercise - I'm going to go out on a limb and say walking around in the heat at the fair (and carrying Ari most of the time) was exercise.  We had a great time together and I wasn't in the house eating :)

4) Ari Bed Time - Last night was another Timbers game, so Ari had a VERY late bedtime.  But he went straight to sleep without much of a fight.

5) Lilah Sleep - Lilah woke up 3 times last night which was certainly an improvement over the previous two days.  Hopefully now that the antibiotics are FULLY on board, she'll sleep even better tonight.

6) Lilah Weaning - As in #5, Lilah did better yesterday than the previous 2 days.  She nursed 4 times @ 4pm, 12am, 3am and 5am.  She also nursed when she woke this morning at 6:45, but that counts for tomorrow's blog :)  Hopefully tomorrow we can once again get back to our previous schedule.
