Week 4, Day 4

Just a public service announcement to kick things off:  I noticed I skipped Week 4 Day 2, so I "edited" my posts by changing the days and re posting.  So this is the REAL Week 4, Day 4 rather than yesterdays post which was actually Day 3.  Thank you....  :)

1) Lose 10 pounds - I was a very naughty eater yesterday.  First I stupidly went to the grocery store while I was hungry and my fried chicken kryptonite hypnotized me into eating THREE chicken strips :(  Then for dinner, Mom, Dad & Rebecca came over, so I made some high fat/high calorie Eggplant Parmesan with pasta, but juxtaposed it with some steamed veggies & salad.  For the first time in a long time, I actually made enough food for the company we had instead of enough for an army which means there was only enough for me to have a small portion of pasta and 1 1/2 small squares of Eggplant (which I shared with Lilah).  In additional to being shocked that no one starved by me making 'just enough' food, I was also happily surprised that I only packed on 1 pound.  Today I'll have to behave myself.  So, poor eating aside I was still 159.6 this morning which keeps me in the 150's range :)

2) Diastasis class - The new exercises are continuing to be difficult and I find myself wondering if I'm doing them right. When I was with Kelly Dean on Tuesday, I clearly remember the physical feeling of the muscles coming together during the exercises, but now I just feel my back being achy (which is also supposed to happen).  I'll need to re-read my informational packets to make sure I'm doing them right, then maybe e-mail Kelly.  I only did 6 yesterday of the exercises yesterday, but 4 were done double splinted.  Today I really will do 7 :)

3) Exercise - I had a lovely time going berry picking with my wonderful sister Rebecca, Ari & Lilah yesterday.  Mostly it was fun because Ari was having SUCH a great time, but I'm also counting it as exercise.  I've decided that anytime I'm doing something out of my house where I'm moving around, I will count it as exercise.  It may not have been aerobic, but it was a lot of bending.  Also, I pretty much had to carry Lilah the whole time w/o a carrier because she didn't understand why she couldn't eat the strawberries off the ground and got very upset a few times.

4) Get Ari in bed and asleep by 9pm - Despite being up until 11:30 the night before at the Timbers game, Ari woke up at regular time and didn't take a nap yesterday.  We went berry picking and he spent the afternoon at Grandma's house playing trains and

5) Get Lilah to FINALLY sleep through the night - Last night was another breakthrough for the little miss :)  Only ONE wake-up last night at 4am!  I nursed and she went right back to bed.  Granted she was up around 6:20 which was super early, but I'm thrilled that I went to bed at a reasonable adult time (10pm) and still got nearly 6 full hours of uninterrupted sleep.  Boo-YA!  I wish I could say I was doing something in particular so I could repeat it tonight.

6) Wean Lilah - Again, Lilah is continuing to be a rockstar.  We had 3 nursings yesterday: 6am, 7:30pm and 4am.  She truly doesn't seem to mind that we've given up ALL our daytime nursings.  I think the next nursing we'll be giving up will be the bedtime nursing... but that's for next week.
