Week 5, Day TWO!!! - Oops :)

I made an error yesterday and thought it was Week 4, Day 7 Part II - Oops!  So here's my weekly sum-up and I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought.  My weight loss sucked, but everything else is moving forward which really surprised me!  I guess doing statistical analysis based on hard data is important to be able to really see the objective changes - husband would be so proud of me!!!

And here's my Week 5, Day TWO!

1) Lose 10 pounds - I had to run out at the crack of dawn this morning to get Lilah's blood drawn, so I didn't get an accurate pre-food weigh in this morning.  Hopefully I'll be a good girl today and lay off the carby and the salty and the scale will reward me tomorrow.

2) Diastasis Rehab - I had such a great chat yesterday with Kelly Dean @ the Tummy Team yesterday!  (www.thetummyteam.com) I was putting a whole lot of pressure on myself to do too much which in turn made me not want to do anything at all. This was particularly frustrating since I had made so much progress in the first two weeks! We changed up my Rx of exercise for the rest of the time to only 6 transverse exercises per day with 2 double splinted, head lifts w/o all the last few steps and be cognizant of trying to work the transverse muscle whenever I'm standing around.  I feel much happier with this new plan and really think I can work it :)

3) Exercises - Alas yesterday no exercise again, but I took a lovely walk with Lilah w/o the stroller and I also took Ari to the Timbers game last night.  I may not have had cardio, but I had a great time with my kids :)

4) Ari Bed time - Ari's bed time was LATE because we went to the Timbers game yesterday. He was obviously tired at the end b/c of he's getting used to his 9pm bedtime which is really nice.

5) Lilah waking - Lilah only woke once yesterday, but she was up for a while.  She went to bed at the normal time and woke up only at 2:15.  I nursed her for 10 minutes and put her back in the crib, but she whimpered for about 45 minutes until I went downstairs and poured a 1/4 full sippy cup.  She drained the sippy pretty quickly and went back to sleep until 6:30.  Moral of the story is: Tonight I'm going to see if she'll take a sippy instead of nursing.

6) Lilah weaning - Yesterday I nursed Lilah ONE time.... 1x, once, 1.  I'm speechless!  I didn't nurse her in the morning or all day.  I went to the Timbers game, so Lawrence put her to bed with a sippy cup.  I didn't nurse her until 2:15am which means I went 22 HOURS without nursing!!!!  The sad part of it is that I had absolutely no hardness in my breast, which once again confirms the lack of milk.  Even after nursing, Lilah drank down a sippy cup b/c whatever I had wasn't enough to quench her thirst.  I'm so surprised she went 22 hours without nursing and now that weaning is around the corner, I'm a little sad about it.  I know she doesn't need it since she gets so little from me, but I'm considering holding onto that bedtime nursing for a little longer, just for the snugglies :)
