1) Lose 10 pounds - I was still 160.6 this morning which is a real bummer :( I was in the promised land for a few days and then I lost it. Now it's Thursday and the weekend is upon me again. I had been doing really well when I was logging my food and I think it's time to get back to that. I don't know why losing weight is such a struggle, but I suppose if losing weight were easy, everyone would be thin and we wouldn't have an obesity epidemic.
2) Diastasis - After my phone call with Kelly at the Tummy Team (www.thetummyteam.com), I'm feeling really good. I did my 4 regular transverse contractions, 2 additional ones double splinting, and I even got some head lifts in there. This morning (which I know I should be posting tomorrow, but whatever), I decided to check my own diastasis and for the first time I was actually able to feel the connective tissue between the two sides of my abdominal wall! For the first time in nearly 4 years I wasn't able to just stick my fingers into my guts and feel around, which is an amazing feeling. I know I look better and I feel more confident. I still have those moments where I'm standing around like a schlub and I realize my belly is sticking out, but I know it's not sticking out nearly as far and I can now pull it in for a longer period of time :)
3) Exercise! - YAY!! I only did 2 miles run/walking, but it felt really good and I was satisfied with the amount of exercise I got. I spoke with Kelly on Tuesday also about running because I actually kind of miss going for runs! She said to run on the uphill and straight-aways, but not downhill b/c it's still too jarring for my abdominals. I was really proud of myself because I really did run ALL the uphills and straight-aways! I need to make jogs more of a priority, not only because it's good for me, but also because I feel good after I go.
4) Ari Bedtime - Ari skipped his nap yesterday and was fast asleep by 7pm :)
5) Lilah sleep through the night - She slept straight though from 8pm to 3am which is good, but she was still up twice last night. I'm thinking it's time for some more sleep training. She was up at 3am, nursed, then took a sippy. She was up again at 5:30 when I pulled her into bed. She nursed for a while, but only slept an additional 1/2 hour, then woke up crying like she was having pains in her belly :( I'm going to see how she does tonight, but I think over the weekend it might be time to do some sleep training because we've now been stuck at waking 2x/night for a few weeks and it's time to move forward.
6) Weaning - Lilah did great last night taking a sippy before bed rather than nursing! She woke twice in the night and wanted to nurse, but I think the second time was because her tummy was hurting so she wanted comfort rather than being hungry. I'm very satisfied with her only nursing twice yesterday :)
Yay Wife! Keep up the good work ~ Last night was tough but don't get discouraged!
